I've been to the other Korean place in the center so many times (OMG they have the best Korean BBQ short ribs over there), but just went to Pollo Pollo for the first time after some drinks at Paddocks last night.

The gigantic terrible for you but oh so good fried chicken wings were AMAZING for soaking up booze.  The kimchee ramen noodles was so good too.  Christ, we were pigs last night, but the food was so good.

I guess I have two Korean spots there now.

Literally giving this review while at the restaurant.
It's Sunday, September 22, 2019 and the time is 8:50pm--I'd assume we've maybe been here for about 30-45 minutes.

Theres currently 2 folks working, we might've waited less than 5 minutes before being seated; there was a large party (I assume of about 10) finishing up.

    We ordered:
    Gimari
    Tteokbokki
    Jjajangmyeon
    Naengmyeon
    Honey chicken wings

The gimari, tteokbokki, jjajangmyeon was decent.  My friend who ordered the naengmyeon before was told that they couldn't make it spicy or accommodate putting the chili season on the side and so she ordered today and asked if they were willing to accommodate again and they obliged?  Inconsistent service? Hmm...okay? Our order of honey wings came out, but was actually the yangnyeom flavor and after realizing it was wrong, we addressed the issue and they corrected the order and accounted for the 4 pieces that was accidentally bitten and the justification was "this is the rule" regardless of our argument: how were we to know what we ordered was correct when they mistakenly gave us the wrong order.  We got the right order within a few minutes and it was soggy as there was a pool of oil at the bottom of the basket--which felt like to add insult to injury.

Truthfully, I wish the wait staff could've leveled with us and at least apologize for inconvenience instead of us being responsible for their mistake.

Food quality, I'd say it's decent. In terms of service, it was poor, like it honestly ruined the experience. You probably could get better Korean style chicken at places like Von's.

This place has some great crispy fried chicken. I was in the area for a music festival and were ready for the drive back home to LA. My GF was craving Kimchee rice and some Korean fried chicken. We found this place about 6 minutes away from the Hilton Concord Hotel. We got 2 orders of kimchee rice and 1 order of Fried chicken with the spicy sauce on the side.

We took the meal to go and ate it on the drive back. It was honestly amazing. The chicken was super crunchy and the sauce was a good mix of sweet and mildly spicy. The rice was good too. Had a rich flavor and can actually take the kimchee.

This is one of my favorite Korean restaurant. It has the best Korean fried chicken! The reason why the chicken is so good is because they fry it with potato starch and the sauce is just out of this world.

I love that they offer non-traditional Korean dishes like their noodles. It's hard to find restaurants that sell jajangmyeon! Food selection is like Korean street food. Simple yet delicious. They offer small banchans - dikon, radish, this onion type one.

Price is $$ in my opinion but it's because they know it's only place In the area that sells this type of Korean food.

Best. Chicken wings. EVER! I honestly think these are better than the infamous San Tungs chicken wings. These are a lot crispier, which I personally really love, and the inside is soooo juicy and tender. I came here for a late-night bite with family and we got both the soy sauce and the sweet and tangy sauce on the side so that we could control how much sauce I eat. I would recommend doing this! Not sure how the crispiness would be affected if we had gotten the sauce already on the chicken.

We also got an order of their kimbap. Honestly, it was pretty underwhelming and I would advise against getting these. It was pretty bland in terms of its flavor in my opinion.

This place is right around the corner from my house, and I just know it will be a frequent go-to spot. I'm excited to try some of their other menu items!
